Fair Trade In Tourism Certified

The Peech is a Fair Trade in Tourism certified hotel. This acknowledges establishments that adhere to specific criteria including fair wages and working conditions, fair distribution of benefits, ethical business practice, and respect for human rights, culture and the environment.

The Peech is proud to have been awarded certifications since 2010. According to Lolla Meyer, FTTSA Marketing Manager, "The Peech Hotel mixes together sustainability, creativity and city living to give guests a contemporary and environmentally friendly experience that ultimately benefits staff, local businesses and the local community."

We are also a proud signatory to The Tourism Child Protection Code of Conduct. This a global initiative that provides increased protection to children from sexual exploitation in travel and tourism. The Peech was one of the founder signatories when the code was brought to South Africa.
